Bridging Stent Patency Varies by Type and Renal Artery Location in F/BEVAR

While endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) is a well-established, less invasive alternative to open surgery for infrarenal aortic aneurysms [1, 2, 3], its application has expanded to address more complex anatomy. The development of fenestrated and branched endovascular aortic repair (F/BEVAR) now allows for the treatment of juxtarenal and thoracoabdominal aneurysms that involve the critical visceral arteries [4, 5, 6]. The success of these advanced procedures hinges on maintaining blood flow to the renal and mesenteric vessels using bridging stent grafts (BSGs). However, the long-term durability of different BSG types varies, and understanding the factors that influence their patency is essential for minimizing reinterventions and ensuring lasting patient benefit [7, 8].
